Motivate Ya

So there's a song someone told me about called "Let's Go" by Calvin Harris.  I hadn't heard of the artist but thought I'd check it out.

MOTIVATING!

I dig the words.  It makes me want to get off my buns and burn some calories!  Now I really can't wait to get back to the gym!  I've started a new workout playlist for when I finally get there, post surgery.

"Let's Go" is now on that playlist.

Check it out!

"Let's Go"(Calvin Harris feat. Ne-Yo)
Let’s go!
Make no excuses now
I’m talking here and now
I’m talking here and now

Let’s go!
Your time is running out
I’m talking here and now
I’m talking here and now

It’s not about what you’ve done
It’s about what you're doing
It’s all about where you're going
No matter where you’ve been
Let’s go!

There ain’t no better time
I’m talking here and now
I’m talking here and now

Let’s go!
Right now is where you shine
I’m talking here and now
I’m talking here and now

...

Let’s make it happen
Let’s make it happen tonight

  1. If you have made a "gym" decision, that is awesome!!!! I know that you have been looking and searching for a good fit for awhile now...But if you haven't, I would really love it if you would take a few minutes to check out my trainer, Mandy Froehlich. Her website is www.trainwithmandy.com
She has added more training classes (Training4Women), now has an online sign up system, and you can purchase class passes, for different amounts. She has strength classes (her main focus) and my most favorite, Lunar Stretch! She also offers other "challenges" that include cardio and nutrition.
She is truly amazaing!!! Right now we are doing a "Training 4 Transformation" challenge, using the Beck book!! I introduced her to the book AFTER YOU shared it with me and she was BLOWN AWAY! We have 4 small groups and I am leader for one of them! I have meet some truly amazing women!
Mandy's focus is on women and the struggles we all have. She has a "real" view of what healthy living is all about and she truly practices what she preaches. She totally embraces the journey of healthy living and its definitely NOT diets and pills and magic contraptions. She believes in the power of clean eating, strength training, cognitive therapy (now that YOU actually introduced it to her!!!), emotional support and surrounding yourself with as many like minded women as you can.
She is a true inspiration for me.
If it isn't a match for you, that's totally fine. I have worked with her for 2 years and she matches with ALL types of women and embraces the individual challenges of each one, in the unique way each woman needs. She just has that "something special"....you've talked a lot about wanting to incorporate exercise into your life and she has totally changed my approach!!!!

  2. I am SO GLAD you posted this! I was thinking about you this morning and wondering how you were doing in your journey. I know you've been a traveling gypsy this summer so I wasn't too worried that you hadn't commented in a while! I'm thrilled to hear you're doing so well!

It's terrific that you've found such a great connection with Mandy. It really changes how you view fitness, a healthy lifestyle, and the way we look at food. Thank you for sharing her website! I'm definitely going to begin following her blog. It's exciting to hear she loved the Beck Solution book and the idea of cognitive therapy! I never realized it had a name but I certainly connected with the principals behind it.

I decided to go back to the downtown Marriott gym over my lunch breaks during the week. I relate that particular gym to success because it's where I lost 30 pounds by eating less, logging my food, and working out. The convenience of month-to-month payments with no contract was exactly what I was looking for. But the close proximity to my building, allowing me to work out over lunch, is what I think will help me move to the next level.

I took a look at the FIT Gym website and it looks awesome! I definitely want to keep it in mind if the Marriott doesn't connect with me. I'm so proud you haven't given up and that you're doing so well!!! Keep me posted on how you're doing. Love you and hugs!!!!
